Sandra Jo (Huff) Reynolds was born on January 14, 1949, in Clarksville, Arkansas. She passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the age of 75, surrounded by her loving family in Springdale, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Swifty” Reynolds; daughter, Shelly Reynolds; parents, John and Margaret Huff; and two brothers, Cortis Huff and James Huff.
Sandra is survived in death by her siblings: Patricia (Huff) Laughter, Beverly (Huff) Duke, and Johnnie Huff.
She leaves behind two devoted daughters, Rebecca (Reynolds) Gilmer and husband Bradley Gilmer of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Glenda (Reynolds) Eden and husband Kenneth Eden of West Fork, Arkansas. She will be deeply missed by her children and her beloved grandchildren: Ava Sophia Gilmer, Max Gilmer, Allison Eden, and Kennah (Eden) Reed, as well as her great-granddaughter, Alanna Reed.
People in Fayetteville will recognize her as the owner and manager of the iconic Roger’s Rec on Dickson for years. She knew the people of Fayetteville & was the face of the Dickson Street community. Sandra was a hard worker. It was nothing for her to work all day and then come home to cook for a house of people and tend to her gardens. She would wake up early the next morning and do it all again.
Sandra left an impression on all the lives that she touched. Sandy’s passion for Fayetteville and for flowers led her to pioneer the plantings on the Fayetteville square. She was a modern thinker. In her later years, she volunteered and managed The Attic, providing thousands of scholarship dollars for healthcare students over the years.
Sandra enjoyed cooking for crowds, volunteering in the community, traveling with family & friends, antiquing, playing slots at the casino, and spending endless hours in her garden and tending to her flower beds. Sandra was one of a kind. She had a bigger than life personality, boundless energy, and a demonstrated heart of gold.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 10, 2025 at Beard’s Chapel. Interment will take place later on January 10th at 2:30 PM at Oakland Memorial Cemetery in Clarksville, Johnson County, Arkansas.

Love to all of the Family and friends, from us.
It was always a treat to be around Sandy. You just didn’t want the visit or laughter to end. Of course she could be sincere and was the true friend one could count on. I will never forget the amazing dinners especially one Thanksgiving too…you never left hungry and there were always flowers.
Her garden was amazing and her home beautifully presented. Sandy was always so proud of her daughters and all her family. She loved family history and was eager to find out all she could. You are dearly missed!
Sandy was a cherished childhood friend and neighbor. So sorry for your loss. God bless you.
While playing pinball one morning, Sandy had a huge lead. On the last ball, I bet her a live chicken that I could beat her. I lost. She was so happy to win a chicken. Every day, she would holler at me, where’s my chicken. A friend finally gave me one, so I could pay my debt. She took that chicken home and would give me updates, on how it was doing. What fun we had at the pool hall. Love to her family.
Lots of fun competition at the pinball and solitaire game and buying squares for the ballgames. Only good memories of Sandy and Swifty and Rogers Rec !
We are sad to hear of Sandy’s passing
Our prayers are with you two girls and the rest of the family.
She was a good lady. Rick and Jeannie Mhoon
I’m so sad to hear of Sandy’s passing. I knew her and husband Swifty for many years and also from the Attic. What a wonderful lady she was. Condolences and prayers to the daughters and their families.
So sad to hear of Sandy’s death. She was an incredible lady who left a lasting legacy in our community. I will hold the family in my prayers.
What an amazing lady! Such a giving person who lived her life with purpose and passion. Prayers for her precious family.
Sandy got me involved with community service. The first time I met her was at The Attic Thrift store. She was wearing an incredible fur coat, red lipstick and was chewing a toothpick. I was immediately obsessed with her. She was a great friend, and I’m really going to miss her incredible raspy voice that she was self conscious of. I loved it so much. She paid me the best compliment I think I have ever received. She asked me one time if I had any other friends like me. I loved her and will never forget her. Sending all my love to her family and many friends.
