Sherman Hoyt McNeely, 80, of Farmington passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 in Prairie Grove. He was born February 18, 1938 in Durham, AR. to William Arthur and Fannie Davenport McNeely.
He was a US Navy veteran. Sherman worked in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and attending auctions.
He is survived by two sons, Ronnie McNeely of De Funiak Springs, FL. and Randy McNeely of Milton, FL; three daughters, Sherri Powell of Farmington, AR, Shelli Trefethen of Wichita, KS. and Trina McGee of Goshen, AR; a stepdaughter, Donna Harrod of Bentley, KS; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 27, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel.

Your dad was one of my go to people about gardening talk. He also had an amazing ability to tell you details of different types of wood. I am so sorry for the loss to your family. Sherri, you took such good care of him for so many years. Much love.
