Shirley Rene’ Whitmore, 55, of Rogers, died March 14, 2018 at Pinnacle Health & Rehab. She was born September 8, 1962 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Ronald and Jeanne Fare Stringer.
Shirley was an operator for Southwestern Bell. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and most of all, spending time with her grandson.
She is survived by two daughters, Heather Bumsted and husband, Adam and Jennifer Stringer, all of Rogers; and her special grandson, Jackman Bumsted.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Beard’s Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-7 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Rene’ was my classmate and such a sweet lady. I am so sorry she suffered poor health for so long. Prayers that she was a believer and has been made new again and is at rest. Prayers for comfort in the days ahead for her family. Her friend, Sandy Pike Mahaffey
My eyes filled up with tears as I heard the news.
It never occurred to me how much I could lose.
I find myself wishing that it wasn’t real.
Every time I think about it, pain is all I can feel.
Tears fall from my eyes; I can barely see,
But my heart tells me that she will always be with me.
I’m glad she feels no pain now; she lives in a perfect land.
I can still feel the soft touch on my shoulder of her loving hand.
I lie in bed and cry at night,
And I don’t feel any better in the morning light.
I will love and miss her forever,
Until the day we are again together.
Together in that perfect place above,
Filled with caring, sharing, and love,
But until that day comes–I will wipe my tears away
And hope to see her again someday.
