Tommy Layer, 79, of Winslow, passed away on December 6, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born to Merlin and Una Layer.
He worked as a boat mechanic and truck driver for many years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenland.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Merlin and Una Layer; a son Dean Layer; and a sister Julia Baird.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary Nickell Layer; and son Dwayne Layer and partner Tracey Frank.
Tommy will be missed by many friends and family.
His memorial service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, December 9, 2023 at the Nickell Memorial Chapel.

RIP Brother Thomas from Brother Herbret one of the names we used in the late 50’s. Memories – we played around the old Fire House on Block St., took snow slides on a car hood off Woolsey Avenue hill, I got poison ivy rash so bad after playing in a grove of it all afternoon with him and Bo. I had to lay out of school a week or more and had to take shots to get rid of it. Tom and Bo didn’t even get it. Sorry for your loss Mary. Larry & Valerie Poage
