Beverly, our group of Vietnam Veterans who served with Company A, 70th Combat Engineers has lost yet another comrade. I consider it an honor to have served and known Tony in An Khe and Pleiku. Though small in stature, he was big in heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. I am so happy he was able to make our reunion last August. Tony was a very special man who always helped out wherever he could. We used his services on more than one occasion. My prayers go out to his family in this difficult time. Remember all the good times. I know there must be many of them. Beverly, I am so sorry he suffered so, and therefore so did you. However, it will get better. I know from experience as I lost my Bill in 2003. I talk to him everyday and he gives me advice and comforts me.

So sorry for your loss. I met Tony when I needed some HVAC work back in the 90s and he became a friend. Who wasn’t his friend after meeting him? Appreciate his service to our country, providing dependable service, and for his friendship. Enjoyed hearing his stories and was sorry that his health declined over the years, due to his service. He is and will be missed.

We were saddened earlier this week as we learned of Tony’s passing. We got to know Tony as he helped us annually with an inspection of our A/C system in advance of the Summer. He was always very friendly and helpful. As he was typically very overscheduled during that season, it may be evening before he could arrive. He would always visit for a time with us surrounding the service call. Several times, as he arrived around dinner time, he would share a meal with us. Especially if Saundra had something fresh prepared out of the garden. We always enjoyed seeing him.

Although this is a sad time for the family, his friends, and former customers, we rejoice that he is now safe with our Lord and Savior!

    We’ll miss Tony!

My deepest condolences to the family for a man that was cornerstone of the community. An outstanding person I was fortunate enough to work with in the construction world and also be able to see in his greatest joy and role as a part of sports world supporting the growth of his children in Elkins and grandchildren as well in youth sports. He definitely left a model for his children and grandchildren to follow on behalf of the family name.
