Uzetta Edith (Angel) Holt, September 10, 1950~December 16, 2021

Dec 16, 2021

Uzetta Edith (Angel) Holt at the age of 71 passed away in her home surrounded by loved ones on December 16, 2021 after battling cancer for several years.  She was given the nickname “Angel” by her husband who told her she was the nearest thing to heaven he had ever found and was called this throughout her whole life with him.

Uzetta was preceded in death by her father Harlan Miller; mother Iona Miller; sister Arzetta Mathenia; and daughter Leasha Roberts Deleski.

Uzetta is survived by her loving husband Garry; her brother Henry Miller; sisters Izetta Miller, Judy Gott, and Ines Swain; her children Kim, Elisha, Jeremiah, Aaron, Tina, Amanda, Kimberly, Dustin, Derek, Eden, and James; 26 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.  She will also be dearly missed by a host of other family member and friends.

Uzetta is lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

Uzetta met Garry in 1972 and they were married on April 21, 1973.  They lived in Missouri, California, and Oklahoma, before finally settling down in Arkansas.

Uzetta was born in Effingham, IL on September 10, 1950.  She worked various jobs throughout her years but spent most of her life as a dedicated loving mother for her family.

Uzetta enjoyed being a role model for her family.  She enjoyed raising and breeding dogs.  She always treated the pets as family as well.  She had a great sense of humor and would always make others feel important and appreciated.  She was capable of being strict when needed but she did everything with the intent of making her children become the best versions of themselves.

As per her request, she wants to be immediately cremated without any services.

Hey Nana, it’s nearly been four years. There hasn’t been a day where I haven’t thought of you. I’ve got a little bug of my own that I wish you could’ve been here to meet. He would’ve absolutely adored you the way we all did. I miss you, and I love you. I know you’re watching over us. Leaving us little hints that you’re still in our hearts. I will miss you at every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and birthday. I’m so thankful for the time I got to have with you.
