Virginia Lee Chester, 88, of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 in Fayetteville. She was born July 16, 1935 in Aitkin, Minnesota to Richard and Sophia Jackson Nelson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bill J. Chester; and son Larry Chester.
Virginia had a career as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, and playing rummy.
She is survived by daughter Barbara Paschke and husband Bill of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Cameron Paschke and wife Sydney, Holi Chester Graham and husband Andrew, and Nelson Chester; a great-grandson Brooks Paschke (and another great-grandchild on the way).
Graveside services will be 11:30 AM Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery for family and close friends.
There is no scheduled visitation.
We did not know Virginia, but we know her daughter. If Virginia was anything like her daughter, we’re sure she was a fine person indeed. She undoubtedly will be greatly missed by her family and friends. So glad she got to see great-grandson Brooks come into this world. R.I.P.
