Virginia Louise (Phillips) Triska passed away peacefully at Willard Walker Hospice after a brave battle with cancer, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 86 years, 1 month, 12 days. She passed on what would have been her youngest son Tracy’s 57th birthday.
Virginia Louise Phillips was born Friday, September 29, 1939 in Mayfield, Arkansas. Louise was the youngest, and last surviving of 5 children born to Roy Lee Phillips and Mae (Clark) Phillips.
In the 1940’s the Phillips Family moved to 26 East 4th Street in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where extended generations of the family resided for many decades under the loving, watchful eye of Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother Mae (Clark) Phillips.
Louise attended Jefferson Elementary School, and was a 1957 Graduate of Fayetteville High School. Her working career included at Goff-McNair Motor Company, Bear Brand Hosiery, RGIS Scanning, Arkansas State Revenue Offices, Marshall Town Tool, and several convenience stores.
Louise loved Dr. Pepper, enjoyed visiting with people, reading books, watching old westerns, and classic TV shows like “Andy Griffith” and “In The Heat of the Night”, doing word searches, and enjoyed libations with friends.
Louise is survived by her oldest son Kevin E. Phillips; many grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee Phillips and Mae (Clark) Phillips; daughter Karen Elizabeth (Phillips) Gibson; son Tracy Lynn Phillips; brothers, Leslie Phillips and Roy Dean “Deane” Phillips; sisters, Doris Marie Wages and Barbara Jean Mahan; daughter-in-law Laura Jean Phillips; and son-in-law Jackie Don “Jack” Gibson.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Thursday, November 13, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Beard’s Funeral Chapel.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 14, 2025 at Beard’s Chapel. Interment will follow in Goshen Cemetery.
