William Michael “Mike” Taylor, 72, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away on January 14, 2025 at his home in hospice care. Mike was born May 3, 1952, to Raymond and Esther Olivene Taylor in Milan, Tennessee.

Mike’s uncle was Amo Cook and his aunts are Harold and Ava Nell Johnson and Jerry and Geraldine Jones. Mike’s childhood home was in Lavina, Tennessee, and graduated from Milan High School with the class of 1970. He attended Memphis State University and continued his life there.

Mike’s life was defined by his deep love for his family and his unwavering devotion to his wife, Jane Jones Taylor, who preceded him in death in 2020. Since her passing, Mike has carried a broken heart, always cherishing the memory of their almost 47 years of marriage.

Mike is survived by his son, Chris Taylor, daughter-in-law Amber Taylor, and his beloved grandchildren, William Taylor and Hannah Davis of the home. He also leaves behind his younger brother, Mitch Taylor of Bartlett, Tennessee, and his seven children.

Mike and Jane were married on December 21, 1973, and in 1977, their greatest joy arrived with the birth of their son, Chris. The family was often involved in Boy Scouts, attended collectible card and car shows, and enjoyed many family vacations. A dedicated and hardworking man, Mike excelled in his career with Fischer Lime & Cement, in Memphis, having moved through the ranks from Sales Agent to Sales Manager, and finally to Purchasing Agent. While in Seattle, Washington, he accepted a more relaxing and immediately rewarding role with Reliable Parts. He was able to use his wealth of experience, skills, and dedication to provide exceptional vendor and customer service often shown with a unique level of perfection. He built lasting relationships and earned the respect of those he worked with. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and loyalty to those he cared about.

The family would like to thank Elite Home Health and Hospice for providing comfort, guidance, and compassion.

Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Funeral Chapel, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
