Zoé Anna Jeanne Jacqueline Marcelle Smith Carrier passed away on May 14th 2015 in Durham, Arkansas. Zoé was the daughter of Jim Smith and Julie Carrier, and loving sister of Mingan and Jeanne Adelle, grand daughter of Jean (deceased) and Anna Smith, and Marcel (deceased) and Jacqueline Carrier, and partner of Bryan Brandon Jr. Much loved by uncles Pierre, Dan, Bob, Alain, and aunts Renee, Betty, Liane, Anne, Adele, Sue, Diane, and cousins AlexAnne, Laurence, Nathalie, Tristan, Justin, Michael, Daniel and Richard. Zoé was born in Gaspé, Québec. Prior to moving to Arkansas in 2000, Zoé, lived in Montreal, Holland, and Saskatoon. She graduated from Fayetteville High School in 2005, and was completing her Bachelor of Interior Design at the University of Arkansas. Zoé had a developed artistic ability, and was blessed with a charming personality and zest for life. She will be forever remembered as a free spirited loving person. A memorial service will be held on Saturday May 23, 2015 at 4 pm at Springdale Adventist Fellowship, 4001 West Don Tyson Pkwy, Springdale, 72762. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Animal League of Washington County would be appreciated. Cremation arrangements by Beard’s Funeral Chapel.

Your daughter was a dear friend and she had a beautiful soul. When Zoe would visit here in Rogers she would sing my daughter Chloe to sleep in french when it was her bed time. I cannot recall the name of the song, but it was so beautiful and soothing. My daughter still remembers.. I will forever miss her enthusiasm and light for life, art, her family and friends. When I picked up this morning’s newspaper and saw Zoe’s name and photo I was overtaken with sadness. I know her from the days when she waited tables at Tiny Tim’s Pizza/West Mountain Brewing Co. She was indeed a free spirit with a zest for life.
I am deeply saddend by her passing and offer my sincere condolences to all who loved her.

I only knew u for about 9 months but if felt like years!! U was a true friend and always made me smile even when it was hard for me to smile at times!! I only met Zoe once, but she made such an amazing impression on me. When we said goodbye, I felt as if I had known her for years. She was the friendliest, most outgoing, happy person I have ever met.
