Theresa. It was with great sadness that I read of Dennis’ passing this morning. As chance would have it, I passed him about a month ago as I was entering FDC for lab work and he was on his way out, using a walker and on oxygen. Our passing was very brief as I was hurrying to the lab desk to sign up before all the others behind me. For some reason he happened to look up, and even though we had not crossed path in a long time, maybe years, he immediately said, “Hi, Philip.” “Oh. Hi, Dennis.” I was not happy to see the condition he was in but was struck by what seemed his clarity of mind as he so easily recognized me and called out my name. It also reminded me of the many times I would run into him at WalMart as he was stocking and I would stop and chat with him for a bit.
Carol and I pass along our deepest condolences to you and your family and wish you the very best.
