Dennis E. Garrity, 75, of Fayetteville, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Fayetteville.  He was born April 16, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey.

He retired from Walmart Neighborhood Market.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Theresa M. Garrity, to whom he was married 54 years; his children, Judy Marshall, Patricia Garrity and Dennis E. Garrity, Jr; grandchildren, Theresa Wille, Alyssa Marshall, Albert Wille, Jr. and Austin and Dalton Garrity; great-grandchildren, Kalyse and Kalyiah Hampton; and his siblings, Susan Teague, Stanley Guzy and Judy Guzy, all residing in New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Beard’s Chapel.

    On behalf of the Honors College at the University of Arkansas, I write to give our collective condolences on the loss of your Dennis. You are your family are in our thoughts here in Gearhart Hall on the U of A campus. At some point in the future, we do hope you will come by and visit.

    Terry, I am out of town but just heard about Dennis. I am so sorry to hear the news. I just told my son and daughter-in-law that of all the assistants I ever work with, you were the one I felt the closest to. I hope you are doing OK. As I found out when I lost my wife, it will get better in time.
